It is my day to break things, it seems. First I knocked a handmade flowerpot off my desk at work. (The plant is fine, but the pot was a total loss.) An aura of general ineptitude hung over my entire day. When I came home, I found that I'd managed to wedge a glass into another glass hard enough to break it as I blundered about the bedroom this morning. Smashing the outside glass with a hammer was probably the most fun I had all day, but again, breaking things. And I've evidently managed to fuck up either my Playstation memory card with all my saved games on it, or the Playstation itself. (Less likely because it has two card slots and neither of them will read the card.)

This sucks. I'm going to try to cook something without burning my apartment to a crisp, but we'll just have to see. Are there any local buildings needing demolition? Perhaps I'll go camp out at the EMP tonight.

[added: Oh, look, I broke LJ too. Er, sorry.]

Upon reflection, I was wrong. The most fun I had all day was computer virus schadenfreude.

winged capybaras are GOOD they are emmisarys of
MOM TAPIR and they catch us when mom tapir drops us.

they pick up little otters too! or maybe they have otter ASSISTANTS.

not scary at all but loving and helpful and gentle and kind, like angels but in a different theology.

does it work for you? it doesn't work for me, they're just standing there! I left it in in hopes that it might work for someone but no marquee off this machine.

maybe I will try to dislodge my roommate to see if they're on his computer.

whoops, I guess they must be going backwards coz it's like text?

It's a beautiful speeding line of capybaras.

In fact, I've never actually seen a good use of before. Usually, I think it's evil.

It actually works here.

Eeeek to loss of saved games! Was it an official Sony memory card, or an unofficial third party one? You might be amused by my friend Tim's meeping about unofficial memory cards (http://www.livejournal.com/talkpost.bml?itemid=14765295).

What games were they? I might have some saves I could copy for you.

He has a stuffed moogle for a userpic! Oh my god!

*pant pant* Okay, I'm all right now. That is so cool, though.

I've gotten it to work a little bit, enough to copy some things off. It's an official Sony one, and it seems that it's somehow no longer the right shape. All the data's there, it's just that the console doesn't recognize it reliably any more. It was my FF8 saves that I really wanted, and I've got those working on the new card now. Thank you for the offer, though!

(And for the package, I love it. I need to listen to the second cd. The Wildhearts are everything I thought they would be. :) And I like some of the other things a lot, too.)
