Dec. 4th, 2001 07:49 pmIt is my day to break things, it seems. First I knocked a handmade flowerpot off my desk at work. (The plant is fine, but the pot was a total loss.) An aura of general ineptitude hung over my entire day. When I came home, I found that I'd managed to wedge a glass into another glass hard enough to break it as I blundered about the bedroom this morning. Smashing the outside glass with a hammer was probably the most fun I had all day, but again, breaking things. And I've evidently managed to fuck up either my Playstation memory card with all my saved games on it, or the Playstation itself. (Less likely because it has two card slots and neither of them will read the card.)
This sucks. I'm going to try to cook something without burning my apartment to a crisp, but we'll just have to see. Are there any local buildings needing demolition? Perhaps I'll go camp out at the EMP tonight.
[added: Oh, look, I broke LJ too. Er, sorry.]

*humph*
Playstation memory cards.
Date: 2001-12-05 06:07 am (UTC)What games were they? I might have some saves I could copy for you.
Re: Playstation memory cards.
Date: 2001-12-06 11:26 am (UTC)*pant pant* Okay, I'm all right now. That is so cool, though.
I've gotten it to work a little bit, enough to copy some things off. It's an official Sony one, and it seems that it's somehow no longer the right shape. All the data's there, it's just that the console doesn't recognize it reliably any more. It was my FF8 saves that I really wanted, and I've got those working on the new card now. Thank you for the offer, though!
(And for the package, I love it. I need to listen to the second cd. The Wildhearts are everything I thought they would be. :) And I like some of the other things a lot, too.)
