Got home from [livejournal.com profile] rainydayelves meeting with nauseous migraine, listened to voice mail. Someone had found my driver's license. Yep, license and debit card both gone; had not remembered they were in coat pocket before slinging coat jauntily over bag's shoulder strap when I got warm from walking. Called finder back, thanked her profusely, she will have husband drop license by office sometime soonish. Called bank, canceled card, will have new one in five to seven days.

Did I need to deal with this when I am feeling ill? No, but it went quite well. Probably no one charged anything on the card between 5:30 and 10, and I have some protection on the account. However, bleh. I go to bed.

Yiii! Um - yaaay! Okay, I'm confused about which reaction I should be having. ;) All's well that end swell... and hopefully, it'll end with you not having a migraine anymore. And thank you very much again, for lunch, for scanning, and for pleasant company. :)

Fuss and furor, my grandmother would say, and I agree. I hope your migraine is done with and you are asleep.

I have a number of friends who suffer from migraines, and they say that having hair past a certain length, or tied in a ponytail, will make them worse / more frequent. (And then there's chocolate and bananas.) Anyway, I'm sure you've heard all this before...

There doesn't seem to be any trigger, and I think I get tension headaches too. Such a mess. I should do the elimination diet thing, really, but they aren't hideously painful most of the time and I am lazy.

Thanks for the hair tip; I don't think I'm willing to give up having it long, but it's something to consider.

I had what I thought were tension headaches and sinus headaches for about five years, and they stopped cold when I was put on a beta-blocker for hypertension. The original dosage did nothing for the blood pressure, but it did completely and immediately stop the headaches. It's a complex drug and I can well see that you might not want to go down that road, but I was immensely relieved and pleased to be free of the darn headaches, even though they were very seldom debilitating. My nurse practitioner and my nephrologist both said it was likely that I'd been having migraines -- they run in my family. So I thought I'd mention it.
