Feeling isolated and unhappy, so I isolate myself. Perfect sense!

The problem is that I don't want in-person contact or phone contact, I want a particular sort of online contact where people are talking to me directly. And I don't feel like answering email, because my brain is perverse. That's why I've been more active on LJ the last couple of days.
And yet I want a hug.

The day can be over any time now.

I do the same thing. If you want to chat over some form of IM (which, along with MUSHing, are what work for me), let me know in e-mail; I'll be around and available at some point over this weekend.

Thanks. I haven't been on a MUSH in... wow. Crypt died in '96, I think, and I haven't been on any since about that time. That was a big thing for me for a while there. MUDding lasted longer because my crowd changed, but not by much.

Most likely I will hole up and read, or go to the opposite extreme and force myself to interact face-to-face, but I appreciate the offer.
