Feb. 18th, 2002 11:25 amYay, airport security. I lost a perfectly good wrench trying to get to England, but at least I didn't have to drink any human milk.
Really nothing like the Library of Babel. Rocklopedia Fakebandica lists bands that never were, and more detail than you wanted to know, especially for Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes.
I tried to get to WGirls last week, but didn't succeed until this morning. It is snicker-worthy.
baratron, I didn't hear about this until today or I'd have gone down to watch them let Sabrina go. 35 pounds and she's only a medium-sized octopus, wow.
I wish people would define "family" when they talk about its being an optimal institution. Seems to me that if they sent polyfolk on their generation ship some of their problems would be a bit different. It's not like they'd have trouble getting volunteers...
Lastly, because this wasn't random enough: mandolin babes.

Date: 2002-02-18 03:09 pm (UTC)But what's wrong with human milk? We mostly all drank it as children.... (grin)
Actually, it is rather tasty, much preferable to infant formula.

Date: 2002-02-18 03:20 pm (UTC)I believe that human milk would taste good. Presumably the moms with bad-tasting milk didn't reproduce much. :) It's just a little squicky to be forced to drink it in an airport. I liked the comments over in Mary's journal about what happens if you're traveling with other bodily fluids.

Date: 2002-02-18 08:57 pm (UTC)The milk is sweet, though... like melted ice cream, but a bit thinner. And it works in coffee...(grin)
