I got checked out. All my joints work, I weigh 212 and the doctor didn't even mention it, and nobody batted an eyelash when I filled out the optional sexual orientation question with "bisexual, polyamorous in a monogamous relationship". :) And they're only ten blocks from home. Cool.

From my email to the boy:

The doctor thinks I get low-grade migraines and the stress of the accident,
plus not having eaten breakfast yet, kicked this one into a higher gear.
My head does hurt, but mostly I'm not as coordinated and my vision's
blurry. I'm photosensitive, but not more than my normal headache level.
I'm home now, so I'm going to rest a bit.

Good that you have such a spiffy doctor's office.

One thought on the low-grade migraines - mine started being much more aura like and much less likely to involve serious pain in the last year or two (it's about a 3:1 ratio of 'feel weird and sometimes icky' to 'utter misery' now, and it used to be about 1:6 the other way.)

When I was having the nasty series while working tech support, my doctor tried putting me on high blood pressure medication for a month - not because my blood pressure was high (though they couldn't have done it if I'd had *low* blood pressure - mine's normal to very slightly high naturally)

He said that it often helps people with aura symptoms but not much actual pain, since it gives the blood vessels in your head a chance to sort themselves out. The idea was that I'd take it for a month, then stop taking it for a while, and repeat as necessary. It certainly seemed to help, and the blood pressure meds are very low side effect and designed for long-term use, so I was pretty happy trying the experiment.

If that sounds intriguing, I cna see if I can dig up more info for you.

And again, it's good that you're in good working order generally. Yay for good working order.

That is interesting, but I don't think I need more information on it right now. I'll keep it in mind if I get effects I actually notice more often, though. Thanks.

212? *goggle* fooled me... I would have guessed maybe 160. At least all of the parts work :-)

I don't think I had the massive thigh muscles when I saw you last; they've added to my weight somewhat. No one has any idea where I keep it all, including me. Dense bones, maybe, and I'm fairly muscular under the padding.

I think there's a lot of misreporting of weight out in the world that means none of us can correctly judge girl-weight by looks, too. :)
