I'm better now. Not good enough to want to interact with anyone yet, but a lot less unhappy.

I finished reading Metropolitan, which ended the way it needed to, and then tried the old Nintendo trick of blowing into the video game slot. The memory card worked! Yay! It seemed strangely sluggish, though, and it hadn't worked at all earlier, so I said to myself, "The wise thing to do right now would be to run out and buy another memory card to transfer the files."

So I pulled myself together and ran out. I went to two used video game places on the Ave, including the one that I said I wouldn't buy things from because of the giant ugly light-up billboard, but neither of them had any memory cards, which I suppose spared me a moral dilemma. I checked the Wherehouse, too. They still had a few games for rent, but nothing else console-related; they say they're trying to phase them out.

Oh, bugger it. I've dripped raspberry popsicle into my hair. *sigh* Oh well.

Anyway, I came home after that because I couldn't think of anywhere else to go and my feet were hurting a bit due to the wimpiness of my hastily-scrounged socks. On the way back eastward from the Wherehouse, I saw some broken-up pieces of curb, so I stopped to make them into a little henge. I felt considerably better after thus contributing to the public oddity.

So I came home and turned on my Christmas lights. It's December, so it's not actually indecently early any more. If the person immediately above me puts some out now, we'll form a stripe all the way up the building, because no one else has any except the guy below me and the top apartment in our row.

When I came over to my laptop, which I had set to log back in before plugging in the lights, it had turned itself off because the power cord had come out.

Yep. Still got that breakin' touch.

I did it myself! I'll be sure to drip some more in there soon, though.

Should one ask about how the popsicle got there in the first place? *laugh*

One could ask, but it's not exactly interesting. Hair is long and sits on chest, popsicle is drippy, drips land on chest where hair happens to be. There are fascinating things to do with popsicles, of course, but this wasn't one of them.
