Her gleaming green eye! (and obligatory nibbled feets)



Her frilly gills! She's darker in color than Hex was at this size, so maybe they'll continue being a bit different. Otherwise, her top gill branch seems longer, and I guess I can check them for GFP if I really need to distinguish them. :)



So far, she sure can poop for a little thing. It might be worth it to get another filter so I don't have to change her water so much; I don't want to spend the money, but if I cycle a tank properly it's better for her as well as easier to maintain. She's little enough yet that she can't go in with Hex. (Axolotls have no concept of what that small moving thing could be if not food.)

Anyway. MADE OF CUTE. I'll borrow the blue laser pointer from lab tomorrow and try to get some good GFP shots. The black light I have annoys her and she won't stay still, but maybe if I shine light just on her body and not in her eyes it'll work better.
