I'm not quite sure why "uncertain about whether I will have a job next month" equates to "buy many many books and comix". Fear of future deprivation? Sheer comfort? Dunno, but where I really wanted to be today was a bookstore, and I hit three of them...

Also very amused by looking up conjectured Cocteau Twins lyrics on the web. I'd like to sing along with Treasure -- it's one of my favorite albums -- but I am not singing that. *giggle*

I messed about with my friends list today. There's no way of saying this that people will believe me, but it's not personal, okay? I shuffle it. If you're off, it doesn't mean I'm not reading you, and if you're on it's not necessarily permanent. I just wanted the page to look different.

Uh... I tried to reply to your message wondering where the earlier journal entry had gone, but it wouldn't let me. I think I know why, since when I went back to my friends page that entry was gone. I was trying to reply to it before you'd deleted it. Nee!

I reiterate (because it didn't post the first time, and I hope it does this time... (slightly worried look)) that we should get together and do talky things sometime, but not now as I'm tired. Nee!

Yeah, I deleted that one because I figured it out. Lynx doesn't ever log you into LJ properly, so LJ didn't realize I was me. Oops.

You could come over tonight. I'm having game night again. In fact, I think I'll put up a separate entry for it. Talking time would have to be later, but it would be nice to see you.

IMHO, you buy stuff because you need comfort food. Well, food for your mind, anyway. Something you keep your conscious (and hopefully your subconscious) busy with fun stuff instead of worry that you can't really do anything about anyway.

And comics are good. Good, yummy stories. You read _Aria_, right?

No, I don't know Aria. What is it like?

After reading an entire book about Kinomoto Sakura-chan, I am muchly comforted, so I do think that was it. The cuteness was too much to allow stressed-out feeling to persist, and I'm fairly chipper this morning (though still wishing my bosses would talk to me a bit).

_Aria_ (right now running as _Aria:the Soul Market_ is a bee-YOO-tefull comic. It's about a Shide princess in the mortal world and dealing with magical stuff. The story great, but you don't buy it for the story. You buy it for the art. Most beautiful comic I've ever seem. And the author/illustrator is a dentist!
