good day so far

I love, love, love that I can get hot drinks in a can from Japanese vending machines. Love it.

Also I finally got to wear my presentation-giving dress to give a presentation! I bought it last year when I was coming to a conference in Japan, but it was unseasonably, horrifyingly, meltingly hot so I wore something that was not fully lined and didn't also require a camisole underneath.



I might have chosen to wear something different if I'd known I was going to have to crawl under my desk for an earthquake drill, though.

I miss the hot drinks! Also the corn soup as a hot canned drink thing.

Ooh, I haven't seen soup. Today I heard about some kind of red-bean sweet that can be obtained through vending machines, though. Yum.

I saw the corn soup yesterday! I already had hot cocoa from another machine, so I didn't get it, but the train station in Inuyama-yuen had corn soup and red-bean something in cans. Yay vending machines!

Bwahaha yes!! I also miss the red-bean soup... we used to have it chilled in summers and hot with little bits of mochi for winter.
