I went bead-shopping with a colleague at lunch today. She brought in the dress she's wearing to the wedding this weekend so we could figure out a way to make jewelry that would suit it. She bought all the beads that I now get to play with. I'm making the necklace and earrings for way less (even with materials) than she would've paid buying some.

I'm taking advantage of her. She's taking advantage of me. This is what work should be.

I'm mildly envious. ;) That sounds nifty - congratulations on landing a commission, especially one that you're already enthusiastic about. Nifty!

When I get back, I'll have to schedule some bead shopping/necklace comparisons with you - not comparing my necklaces to yours, but comparing mine and yours to others in stores. I'm having a hard time figuring out how some of them were made, and I'm starting to long for different necklace-making methods.
