Finally getting around to posting about the new hairstyle!

Turns out Special Effects is a lot harder to get out of hair than box dye is. But I was tired of red and, I admit, having a South Pacific moment. After three hours (I wish I were kidding) of bleaching and tinting, I looked in the mirror and cracked up.



D at Scream was puzzled, so I explained that I looked like this. Then he got on me for never having read the last book. But I know what happens, I said, I read the internet mockings.

It looks really pretty dry. Now I have rather more dark roots than this photo shows -- the curse of fast-growing hair. Some of the red was cut off, since it was strongest at the ends, but it's still long enough to put up in the lab, as I demanded.

The first photo, for some reason, looks to me absolutely like a different person. I suppose it's the unvisibility of hair.

That and I look haggard, which is a combo of harsh lighting and being exhausted all the time due to progesterone. :P
