pain is inherently boring

I am so tired of being ill. Usually when I'm sick I get at least a day's worth of being a little glad to be loafing, but it's been so much all the time recently that I now go directly to "dammit, why can't I do chores or something?" Can't. Video games were about the limit of my mobility. Unfortunately, Final Fantasy 13 is also boring, and Scott P requires actual coordination and alertness.
Yesterday's major drama: Tried to come to work and do my floral dips, but had to drug up to do it, so when I arrived and found the centrifuge reserved for the next several hours I was totally unable to cope. Labmate A, who is awesome, volunteered to do them for me later in the day. Things I was also unable to cope with while stoned on Percocet include a used bookstore and acquisition of sensible lunch.
Today I felt okay on waking up, so I'm in at work for at least a while. Hopefully I'll still have some brain by the time PI tells us about the secret research updates she brought from Japan.
