work grump
May. 23rd, 2010 10:36 amTurns out I don't get to see alpacas today. From a work standpoint, this is good, because I was still feeling too shaky to do any fine work yesterday and need to get stuff done before my Wiscon trip. Hopefully I'll be able to do the extra-difficult crosses with my sad, aged plants today; the annoying part is that it takes at least a few days to see if they worked.
There's never anyone here on weekend mornings, so of course it's when I prefer to come in, especially since Wim sleeps late and I don't. Today the lights were on -- of course, the day when I feel particularly lonely so want to be alone by choice -- but luckily they were just left on by mistake and I don't have to deal with humans yet.
Waiting for buffers to thaw is pretty annoying by itself, though.
