"Flaunt" and "flout" are different things. I would like people to look them up and then use them in the non-confused sense so I don't have to be grouchy. I hate when words get rendered indistinct like that.

I have never heard anyone get "flaunt" and "flout" muddled up. They have such entirely different meanings in my lexicon that I can't see how anyone could get them muddled up. How odd!
