Adorable stripy crocus eeee! Species bulbs are the best. Crocus chrysanthus var. fuscotinctus, I believe.



Another stripe shot. The stripes look very brown in daylight but the pigment looks purple-red here.



Purple-brushed sepals and white petals! Probably 'Prince Klaus,' I really don't recall.



Crocus 'Pickwick' is on its way in to replace the little guys.

Hee! They are paralellocats so often that I didn't notice the impression of this particular shot. Nice.

Oh, well, you don't really want that kind of English spring, however poetically apt.

The whole parallellocat thing is terribly cute. One can actually discern a spotty back behind the white back, but since they are spotty cats anyway it's hard to realize that's a different creature.
