Jun. 25th, 2001 09:04 amOn Solstice night, I decided to be alone. That meant no talking to anyone, no writing, and the weird part: no reading. Being without input was strange. I've always read books as a way to relax, and it works, but I wonder if it isn't covering things up that I need to be thinking about. I've got a lot to think about.
I've been feeling more self-contained since then, so I haven't been splashing my feelings around quite as much. It's nothing to worry about, if anyone is wondering. I think having acupuncture helped, too; I'm feeling much more balanced of late.
Friday night was completely great. :) Wim and I went to Thai Tom with a side trip to Twice Sold Tales, played a really good game of Tiny Scrabble, and went to see Shrek. We were, of course, disgustingly cute throughout. I *heart* my sweetie.
Saturday I went to a graduation party for my half-niece, which was at a very nice private lake. Pity they'd rented the other half of the lake to people who were racing miniature radio-controlled hydroplanes on it. I got to sit in the sun a lot and people mostly didn't bother me, so that was good. And my half-nephews caught some garter snakes, which I taught them to hold properly. Glad to see they're following my good example.
Saturday evening, Wim and I went to see Why? Why? Why?, which was tons of fun. (In response to the review, I had no complaints about the air flow.) If you're in Seattle, go see it! It's been extended for two more weeks.
Sunday consisted mainly of emotional discussion about poly stuff, followed by reading American Gods in preparation for Neil Gaiman's book signing tonight. I have a long quote from the book that I want to steal for my .plan (and also post here, 'cause Drizzle doesn't allow remote fingering).
And today I really would rather not be at work. It's because my aura's yellow, I suppose.
