It's a perfect day. Here's a picture of me wearing the Solstice necklace I made in May. Today's the only day of the year I can wear it with clothes on, so I figured I'd commemorate the occasion. :) It's heavy enough that I definitely know I'm wearing it, and it's gotten a lot of attention. I feel like a more impressive aspect of divinity than usual. Yay.

Niiiiiifty! Wow, that really is a striking necklace. Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to make it? Most of my string-based necklaces are single-day enterprises - it's rare for me to even contemplate a necklace that takes more than a couple of hours. The Eris necklace is turning into an exception. Maybe that's what I'll work on today...

And again: ooooOOOooo! It's gorgeous - more than "just a necklace," it's art, and also a... "relic" is the only thing I can think of. Excellent. :)

You've seen it before, actually. This is the one I showed you at Angi's right after I finished it. I'll be happy to bring it by tonight so you can admire it again, though. :)

I don't really remember how long it took. Does time hunting beads count? Probably 10-12 hours of metal bending, I suppose. Several afternoons in front of my window watching the sun go down, anyway.
