Here's my pledge: if I see somebody groping you in public, and you're not moaning Yes! Yes! Yes!, I will break through your Somebody Else's Problem invisibility field and come over and ask if you're okay. If your situation looks dangerous enough I can't help on my own, I will call over friends or, if it's a situation in which I think the cops would be on your side, I will call the cops.

This kind of thing is very difficult for me, but I am going to do my best.

I think it's when the quiet girls stick up it's really a big deal; everyone EXPECTS a loudmouth like me to start yelling about shit. Even 'telling a more loudmouthed person' is good, any kind of 'Hey, is everything OK' counts.

Yes. Going to read that post now; I'm kind of amused that the first I heard about this was an offhand comment at a D&D game. Having been off LJ for a while, I'm now following links and going "um." :/
