Also I want to point out to anyone who doesn't know it already thatoyceter rocks amazingly. This whole thing was her idea, and I'm here behind the scenes telling you that, despite a lot of other stuff going on in her life, she is committed to making this an important event and is doing a ton of work on it. The last IBARW and the racism-related posting in the meantime have educated me immensely, and I feel really grateful for the increased knowledge and perspective. Oyce, you're probably going to downplay this, but you've expressed yourself, stood your ground, and been generally brave and admirable since you started writing about race issues. Not that you weren't awesome before. :) Thank you!
Stay tuned for one entire race-related post I have lined up from my mildly-clued white-girl self. Mostly I'm going to work behind the scenes to make it easier to read the people my society has a hard time listening to.
