measure your feet

I have knitted silly socks that are just a little too small for me, and I'd rather they be worn properly. I hate to ruin a surprise, but they are in green and blue shades. I reserve the right to make myself another pair. :)

Foot length: not as stretchy as anticipated, about 7.75"
Circumference at arch: very stretchy, 5" to 9" would work fine

First Cinderella to call them gets them, plus maybe some other stuff if I find appropriate accompaniment.

Nope, hence the rulerizing. Smaller than my US 8.5-9 feet. And apparently it's all very complicated (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoe_size). All the tables I look at appear to be completely insane, so I think people should measure their feet for accuracy's sake.

a-ha! the smaller than your feet is a useful piece of knowledge, however. since my feet are way bigger than yours. :)

Would they fit someone who wears 7 1/2 wide shoes? If so, and if you're willing to give them to a Washingtonian (West Sound) you've never met, I'd like them. Thanks!

Well, since I have no 7.5 wide shoes around, that's really not something I can answer adequately. The length might be okay, but you'd have to break out a ruler to measure the circumference anyway; I have narrow feet and no clue what wide ones are like.
