BPAL: Versailles
Oct. 23rd, 2005 10:09 pmVERSAILLES -- Grand, courtly and robust: a glittering, golden scent that would do Louis XIV proud. Gilded red and gold citrus with amber, ruby roses, jasmine and orris.
Vial: Very commercial-perfume, too, but more oriental than Vechernyaya maybe. Nice, though. Good sweetness, though I can't get jasmine out of it for sure.
Wet: Wow. Rounded-sweet and orangey. Yum.
Dry: Going more to rose with citrus at the top, then sharpish rose, then (4 hrs) rose with a wide, stable base that I think is the work of the jasmine. Nice, though I mourn the loss of the citrus.
