Jun. 4th, 2001 08:19 amBoy, am I going to be cranky later.
I got up early this morning specifically so I could come to work Real Early and get some work done, because I feel like I got bugger-all done last week. I've been goofing off something awful, and this was to be my little way of getting myself on track. You will have noticed by my verb tenses that this did not happen.
I got up at 5:30!! by my alarm clock, which is fast, and was at work at 6 a.m.!! only to find that I didn't have my key. The gods mock me.
I did have a pretty good time climbing around on the outside of the building, though. I could have gotten in if my life had depended on it, but I really didn't want to risk the fifteen-foot fall that was my alternative. I could have done it, though. Someone with just a little more height and upper-body strength could have done it easily. So I kicked back and read The Infinity Concerto for a while, changed my clothes (from biking attire to working attire -- I had biked all the way to work, which is always a nice feeling of accomplishment), decided it was too cold and moved to the elevator to read, and then went to get a maple bar around 7:30 when the receptionist arrived with her key.
I am mocked but surprisingly cheerful. However, I know better than to think that's going to last all day. By three I will be a headachy harridan, I'm sure.
