first day of school, last day of work
Jun. 20th, 2005 07:12 pmAs I had kind of suspected, the economics of hiring me directly for six hours a week make no sense. I'm not committing to 15 hours when I'm trying to study, so today was my last day at OLS. I did get to impress the heck out of the HR person before I left by doing a bunch of paper-shuffling for her. Also, they said I could buy super-cheap shoes now and come get them later. :)
Math reasoning was fun, partly due to the way I got to slowly persuade the decaffeinated grad student teaching it that I was right right right. (Okay, I admit, it is also fun being faster than the often-arrogant mathy boys in class.) Most work will be in groups, eh, but the problems are fun and no one's stopping me doing them on my own too.
In other news, it's hot and I feel sick, which may well be related. But my hair is almost long enough to stay in a ponytail.
