Sad again today. Hoping library walk and yard work will cheer me up. The Ferris Bueller Cameron and Ethan of Athos fanfic haven't so far and probably won't. (The Daria/Jane is awfully cute, though.)
I remember when I learned of viruses wondering if a virus could delay its expression long enough to 'hide' in the host genome and be carried along for a few generations of hosts before reverting back to a normal viral mode. I was thinking in terms of some sort of SF scenario. And eventually I learned of retroviruses and (now) polydnaviruses. As usual, nature is ahead of me.
