More than one person on my reading list is dropping folks for talking politics "too much", and others have complained about it. If anything I am more likely to do it now, because we have to find and use new strategies if we're not to get completely fucked over by rich, well-organized super-right-wing bastards.

That Kos post is pretty scary on a bunch of levels. Can we chain Bush to a chair and make him think about it? Nevermind, it's not clear that we can chain Bush to a chair and make him think.

It's interesting to ponder churches as potential targets. On the one hand, part of what made the 9/11 attacks so horrifying was the sheer number of casualties. I can't imagine a church big enough to sustain that. But maybe a co-ordinated attach on several churches?

I wonder if that would polarize the country even further. At least attacking NYC created something that both urban and suburban/rural residents could fear equally.

Ugh. I probably just got myself on a CIA hit list just by typing this.

that's an excellent kos post overall, but for some reason i can't put my finger on, i don't think the target is likely. huh. gotta ponder.

i also think it will be a while until another major attack on US soil, but much depends on what happens in iraq and palestine (now that arafat is dead).
