I think this second spring of ours is getting out of hand. There's an oriental poppy over on Wallingford that has half a dozen buds opening. (Maybe someone has treated Seattle with super-fertility spray. I also saw a bunch of vigorous new branches growing from the edge of a very short monkey-puzzle tree stump.)

Saw one tow truck towing another. Mating lock?

A flamingo near school was wearing a little yellow rain slicker and hat until today. I figured that was just what it wore, but no! For Halloween it is a witch!

My orchid never withered its past flowerstalk, and now it's putting out one more tiny flower on the end. So it must be super-fertility rays, that go through windows.

(Is there a special term for plants that bloom twice per year? Semiennial?)

The -ennial suffix is not so much about blooming, when I've seen it being used. Biennials usually build up a rosette for a year and bloom and die the next one, and perennials likely bloom every year until something happens to them. I don't know of a blooming descriptor exactly. Harris & Harris list "vernal", "hibernal", and "semperflorous", which mean what you might think.

Ah, good point, *ennial is more about lifespan and temporal habit. <bruteforce>Semiannuiflorous?</bruteforce>
