Having [livejournal.com profile] cheesepuppet here last weekend was great, even if I did feel too crummy on Saturday night to stay downstairs with everyone. Relatedly, we just got a promotional mailing from Flexcar with stuff about going to Portland. Hmm.

Chem final today. Smote cramps with two Aleve when starting the test, which worked out well. Only one question was any amount of trouble, and a hint was provided on that (with ten minutes left in the test). I think it came out fine once I had that.

(On the way to the chem final, I stopped at the library to return some items, only to find the book drops duct-taped shut. Right, Seattle Public Libraries are closed all week. Need I mention to anyone just how wrong this is?)

After the test, I came home, goofed off, and eventually went outside to play. I snapped off a lot of horsetails that are growing where I don't want them to, and left the ones I don't mind, thus ensuring that I will please no one. Then I planted my new clematis by the cherry tree, carefully because I'm not quite sure where the previous tenants' cat is buried, and moved the tulips I found in the course of digging the hole to a pot. Poor little things had gotten mown down. Better luck next year.

The grapevine my dad gave me is growing fat yellowy buds, so I planted that in the ground by the back deck. It wants sun, and the tomato I had on the porch last year did all right, so I think it'll do well there. There were a couple of lettuce seedlings in the pot with it, and I moved them sort of carelessly to a pot, too. If they live, great.

Also cleaned up a little in the front, watered the wilty-looking pansies, and plotted woodruff expansionism. The chionodoxa's still not coming up for the most part, so I might not see it until next year. Last year's camas (bought as potted bulbs) is about four inches high, though, and so are the peonies. The hyacinths are all blooming. It's a good time of year. Now I just need my allergy prescription so I can go out in it without itching awfully.

My allergies are affecting me this year, apparently, by making me feel like I've been punched in the eye. Or eyes. It varies.

You sound like you have successful gardenifying. I can't start yet; we still have snow.

Ow. What are you doing with allergies when you still have snow?

(Mine have me awake right now, which would be a lot more reasonable if I were in your time zone.)

The Flexcar Gods are trying to tell you something!

I'm glad your chem test went well. I was a little worried having sucked up so much of your Sunday, but you seemed pretty calm. Plus, I left you with Wim and Eli as insurance - if you did badly I could just blame them.

I was really not worried about the chem final. His tests have been pretty easy all term, and I've got a good grade in the class so far. Spending time with you was more important (and FUN) than studying stuff I mostly already remembered well.

yay!

more with the ruling!

Congrats on making it through the quarter. I am still grumbling under my breath at some 107 projects.

Does this mean that you are now done until next quarter? Clearly I will not be spending any of my break even looking for library books online. *grrrr* But hopefully I can spend some of it with you and still have time to commit dust-bunny genocide here before the new quarter starts.

Not even particularly close to done, though being free of the daily grind is helpful. I still have the programming final this evening and calculus at eight in the damn morning on Wednesday. (Of course, if I'm awake this early again tomorrow, it'll be no problem. Argh.)

The part that's bothering me is getting up early enough to take the bus down there, bleh. But you won't be up here because it's your day off, or I would whine for transportation. :)

The thing is that I might have a headache after getting up so early, so I don't know if I'll feel like going out after. But I can call or mail you either way. It'd be fun if it worked.

Yes, why the being awake at 5am? Stop that!

I will be in Redmond at 8am tomorrow AM, but would also be eager to make myself available for celebratory post exam feeding.

I wake up in the morning pretty often, due to bathroom requirements or cat-bothering, or just because it's started raining ot something. Normally I can go right back to sleep, but it's really hard to do that when I'm sneezing. So I got up for a while this morning until the meds kicked in, and went back to bed about 6:30. Sucked.

All right then, we'll just make plans and I'll take caffeine if I have to. The test is over at 10, so how about if we meet someplace on Cap Hill at 10:15 or so?
