sweet baby jesus in the garden
Jan. 19th, 2004 07:07 pmWe just pulled... I would say something like two hundred daffodils out of
eub's garden. Or, rather, we did that while it was light out, and I just finished planting them. (They are in pots, since there's a grape-hyacinth quarantine on Eli's yard.) Many of them went back in where they came from, but I had so many to bring home that I couldn't bike all the way back carrying the bag and had to use the bike as a device of burden. It was amazing. I used every pot I had and some I didn't. Whew.
In other garden news: All of the onions and garlic seem fine after the cold weather, not even losing leaves. Some of the narcissus died back, but they're starting up again. My snow peas were of course fine, and we found some volunteers when digging daffodils today. I want to steal Eli's cyclamen. Still need a Territorial Seed catalog.
