back in school
Jan. 5th, 2004 07:57 pmClasses are good so far. Both teachers have accents, one fairly thick, which I think I'll get used to fairly quickly. Both teachers also want us to do at least some group work, le sigh. (Group quizzes will be happening some of the time in chem. Concept almost interesting enough to overcome annoyance.) Chemistry class sounds a lot more manageable than last quarter's, though having open lab on only one day will be a nuisance. Calculus will probably be a little harder but still not troublesome. Still to come: distance-learning Javascript course tomorrow night; math special topics course in several weeks.
And I got a book! I am pleased to have found and nabbed Wizard's Holiday, though I am a little suspicious given
pameladean's comment on it here. [edit: Forgot to say that WH will also induce me to read Framley Parsonage before it needs be renewed again.] Also hunted and retrieved Angier's Woman to give Mom for her birthday, which was the planned part of the bookstore trip. Seems only fair since she's where I first read Our Bodies, Ourselves.
