At the moment, I have on my desk:
Odwalla dutch chocolate future shake
two transitional-to-organic nectarines
blueberry bagel, halved, some bites out of, spread with organic neufchatel cheese
cherries that have been in my bag for two days, eek
green grapes
strawberries

I feel like a big snob for eating so healthy. Weird.

I wasn't very talkative yesterday, partly because I was all worked up about what I was going to say to Bax when he came over last night. I wanted to offer concrete assistance to the general rain of crappiness that's been hitting that household, and I did so (offering the use of my car, which I don't use and which just needs a battery to be in working order) and was -- hm. Provisionally accepted? I suppose that'll do as the very short version. So I fretted about how to say that pretty much all day. It went fairly smoothly, really. We had good conversation and friendly touch (I am a flerb in the matter of boundary-setting) and played with cats and The Red Dot. I had a very good time.

[Footnote: A flerb is a guinea pig. Because "guinea pig" is a weird name for little furry guys, that's why. I made it up and Nikki made it stick.]

So this morning I got up earlyish. I expect to be zombie girl later, but I had to go to the post office to get my Atomic Eye order. Whee! I will say later what's in it because it includes a present for Wim.

And I just got my first trouble ticket of the morning. I'm not even supposed to be here yet. Sheesh. More later.
Just took an online religion-picker test and got 100% matches for being UU and neo-pagan. Makes sense to me; my understanding of UU is that you can do whatever you want, and I identify as neo-pagan more than I do anything else. Far too many of the questions were completely inapplicable, though. I kept wanting essay questions, or at least short answers.

What a great lunch. I got a sandwich at the deli, took a bottle of water and my salt and vinegar Kettle Chips, and sat on the dock downstairs with my feet in the water. Being able to touch water was very soothing just then, partly because it's pretty warm today, but partly because I am feeling bouncy and spinny and turny and dancy. It's a beautiful day and I'm pleased with the people I know and I am having gender/species/body euphoria. Yay!

If people who are local or intend to be so at some point would like to come down here for lunch sometime, I'd like that. I am possessive of my midday alone-time in a general sense, but infrequent visits would be fun. Meeting in Fremont is an option, or people can come down to the office and dangle body parts into the lake. Whatever.
This is where Kylee discovers that Everyone In The Fucking World is on Livejournal. Yikes. Bear with us while we debate expanding our Friends list beyond all reason and completely lose grasp of whether I'm writing in first or third person and singular or plural.
I like to think I am above petty peeves, but it's not true! I am not above them at all! I hate bad grammar, which I can justify somewhat by saying that there are learnable rules, but I'm also really bothered by bad spelling. I know people can't always learn to spell. And even the best speller is probably going to have a couple of words wrong now and then. I am reasonably desensitized to the common errors by now, but the one that really gets me is "idiosyncracy". (Rrrr. It is physically painful to type it that way.)

"-cracy" is a rule by something. It's "idiosyncrasy". Please to be abiding by my dictates.

(*looks for the obvious spelling or grammar screwup that's inevitably there in a post about accurate orthography*)
Usually Ryan just plays doof doof music but today! Today it is doofing with plinkety melodies and loads of synth!

And I thought I was bouncy before!
I can stop writing journal entries anytime, you know.
