Washington's blanket primary "unconstitutional"

Political parties and corporations are not people and should not have the rights of people. Free speech is for individuals. Rights are for me, not for a nebulous aggregate.

Ranting aside, I suppose I'd be all right with picking one party's ballot per election, if we really have to, but there is nothing wrong with voting for whomever I please in a primary, and I refuse to declare a party affiliation to vote.

Usually, I'd have seen that headline in a newspaper stand, and I would have hit the plastic front of the stand.

As it was, I saw it on a rack in a coffee shop - so I hit the paper. :( I was seriously displeased, for reasons I can't articulate clearly, but I think you hit on most of them right there.
