My parents found out that the average age for people to go back to college is 26, so they were teasing me last night. Hmph. :)

I didn't exactly go back to college when I was 27, because I hadn't been in college other than as a part time evening student before then. But that was the age when I filed a degree plan and commenced with serious class taking.

You're going to have a huge advantage given your life experience. Use it. Your intelligence just about guarantees you'll graduate with honors if you stick with it now.

As for average, you're average about like Annie Cannon (first woman PhD from Harvard) was average.

I sincerely hope she doesn't have to wait as long as Cannon did to actually get ordinary academic recognition.
