They're doing it, and I think it might actually be good. Damn, I wish I got to say that more often. I got to say it about Princess Mononoke and LOTR, and not many other things.

Tom Stoppard will be writing the screenplay(s, one hopes) for His Dark Materials.

Now all we need is Alan Rickman!

She doesn't have an inherently threatening look in my mind, not like Asriel does. I think I want Emma Thompson, made up to look a bit more angular in the face.
