For the cake and ice cream party it says balloons are optional. No way man, BALLOONS are REQUIRED.

Also, it is poorly designed and has too many gewgaws. But your objection is far more potent.

i can stomach bad design if there is quality content to be had.
and while, clearly, i celebrate the appreciation of system (and network and other types) administrators, i was disappointed.
