I finally got my Corsican mint, and enough of it so I probably won't let it die. For a plant I love, it has peculiarly bad luck living with me. I still want sweet woodruff. Some is growing at my parents' house; I should take a bit of it before they sell the place. There's nothing with good-smelling flowers at my apartment yet this year, since the nemesia didn't winter over and the heliotrope is looking a bit feeble. Pansies don't really count.

I'm not promising not to get any more plants than that, mind. Just then it won't be a burning need any more. Maybe. I have to plant the corkscrew willows outdoors soon, and then there will be such an empty space where they were.

I haven't seen a whole tree of them yet. These came in a flower arrangement last winter as bare branches, and when we went to throw them out they had roots. I'm hoping they'll look good out in Quilcene.

My parking space at my old apartment complex was next to a little corkscrew willow tree. Pretty.

In high-school, my bedroom window faced west, with a corkscrew willow outside. It made for fabulous winter sunsets, I tell you. (and summer, but I have more of a thing for branches than for leaves.)
