dreams I have seen
Apr. 11th, 2002 09:17 amI woke up at six this morning, and I was sad to do it. I'd been thinking to myself that it must be a dream, but I hadn't accepted it.
I was having a birthday party at my parents' house. The family members I particularly like were there, as were most of you reading this. I was building a little house with some more realistic version of Legos, and everyone around me was happy and liking me.
Then I forgot a bit, then I was on the south side of my old apartment building. Crystal prisms were hanging in the horse-chestnut tree there, like the ones I hang in my windows when I want to have rainbowed afternoons. It looked like I had hung these up, because they had beads on them matching the ones on mine. I remembered hanging up a couple of them before leaving that place, but there were more than that. Some of them didn't look much like mine, but they followed the same basic pattern. Looking around more, I saw ones that didn't. Twisty confections of milky glass hanging from elaborately beaded strings, then mobiles with jewel-colored goldfish. Amazing things. They hadn't been there when I put mine up first, so I must have started something good.
I went away home, though I don't know why I didn't stay there. I met friendly ragged people as I made my way through the roads, which were torn up and showing freshly broken wood underneath. Then I woke up.
Hmm. Is it possible that people like me? :)
