I don't think this is a Geek Hierarchy at all. Some of the people listed just need to be smacked in the head. (Can you guess which ones I think that about?) Besides, geekery is a good thing, while the nadir of the chart is definitely not.

Check out Circlemakers.org's list of crop circle exhibits. If you aren't as fascinated by this as I am, at least look at the Milk Hill formation. I can completely understand the guy who was going to get a tattoo of that. It's gorgeous.

Can you guess what the reaction to the Geek Hierarchy thing was on alt.fan.furry? Aside from deeply tragicomic? ;)

For one thing...

Most role-players I know consider themselves less geeky than computer gamers. So there should be a two-headed arrow between those boxes. But clearly both are less geeky than LARPers.

Ooh... yes, that would make an awesome tattoo.

I want a tattoo of the Mandelbrot Set.

Wow. That is utterly fascinating. The crop circle thing, I mean, not the geek hierarchy thing.

*reads some more* Yeah. Just wow. I wonder what these guys think of the upcoming crop circle movie.
