Jul. 8th, 2001 11:07 amYesterday I bought a very large bag of cherries at the farmer's market. Last evening, when I wanted to eat some of them, I got nothing but bruised or split or underripe ones. Blech. This morning I decided to make a cherry pie, so 3/4 of what I'm pulling out of the bag are nice, firm, eminently edible cherries.
