jinianI love walking in this season, the season of mystifying wonderful smells. Is that witch hazel? Is it daphne? Is it that shrub honeysuckle on Stevens Way that actually might smell better than daphne? You'd think I'd be able to recognize them all by now, but rain changes the scents a lot; some notes carry better than others on different days.
It's also becoming the season of adorable green sprouts, which is lovely too. I can hardly wait for the first of my mixed daffodils to bloom! Or come up. Possibly I should have finished planting them earlier than last weekend if I was so anxious to meet them.
