Nope, I just made it up last night. Maybe I should pass it around Friday night.

Last night: Perseids. I chivvied a bunch of classmates out along the fire trail to Shady Cove (the first side trail, not far at all) around 10:30, and we all laid out on the mossy field for various amounts of time. I removed a troubling thistle BY THE ROOTS, so that was satisfying, and the good nectarines were et by me. I didn't see very many small meteors, but it was dark enough to make out the Milky Way, though the darkness was nothing on South Beach. Some really big, impressive meteors were out, the kind that leave streaks across a quarter of the sky, so it was a good time.
