Neither. That's the color it is when it's that near my scalp; it just bleaches out easily in the sun.

It's a fancy salon job. The before picture had to be taken at home because no one came to the salon with me, so we did the after one in the same place.

I was bored and wanted to be able to make it spiky. :) And I'm having a big life transition, so it seemed like a good time. It doesn't seem like the kind of thing I'd need to process beforehand, since my hair grows pretty quickly, but I bounced the idea off a few people in person.

Here I am a huge dork: I actually had a copy of Shojo Beat because I wanted hair like Nobara from Crimson Hero, but I wound up not showing it to the stylist. He was very into the whole thing and came up with a bunch of photos of what he was thinking. I actually liked the earlier phases of the haircut too; I think I was really ready for this.
