That's cute. I wonder what the big difference is from the wild version. It looks maybe a little darker colored?

The evil wild clematis that grows here (http://www.arthurleej.com/a-wildclematis.html) looks nothing like "Radar Love", so I am confused. Binomial?

Sorry, I meant the wild version of Clematis tangutica, the same species as "Radar Love." I wonder how RL is an improvement. The species is nice, but maybe not as bright, or a shorter bloom period, or something? Perhaps the improvement is the name!

Ooh, that's pretty. I have an unidentified C. tangutica growing up an ash tree. I'd been wondering why it never seemed to bloom after we transplanted it from the side of the house three years ago; then this year I finally saw it blooming waaaay up in the top of the ash tree, where I can only really see the flowers from the upstairs window.
