doom caused largely by own clumsiness
May. 1st, 2007 09:02 pmI was going to take a nice picture of my swollen and nastily scraped knee and post it to show you all what kind of day I've had, but I decided to put a dressing on it instead. (The dressing is not an adhesive bandage, because those lack the necessary surface area.)
After falling and skinning my knee, I fell about half an hour later on my way into class. Indoors, so just bruises that time, but on the stairs, yay.
My performance on the genetics exam was nowhere near as good as I thought, due largely to bizarrely exacting grading.
The gene-sequencing results I got today were nothing but noise.
I did another PCR to amplify the gene better, and managed to waste most of the result by pipetting screwily. (Postdoc 2 shares blame for this for several reasons I won't go into.)
Wim didn't get my email asking for pampering.
(But on the less bad side, I am enjoying Orphans of Chaos, I still rule at linguistics, and the food now being prepared smells very good.)
