progress and setbacks

Poster for conference is done, and proof is printed; need to look at it tomorrow.

Probably broke my toe this morning on the cat-tree. It has the distinctive ache of the last time I broke a toe.

NCBI BLAST site (genome searching) is screwed up tonight, when I need it for schoolwork. Hope it comes back by tomorrow.

Is massage an accepted treatment for broken bones? It sounds horrible!

(Pretty sure it's really broken given the way it swelled up overnight and feels worse now yay.)

Nope, massage would be contraindicated, but I could do some manual lymphatic drainage, which would ease the swelling quite a bit (and so the pain, too).

Isn't it? If you're not violently allergic to Harry Potter fanfic, I highly recommend the story it's from, Teacher's Pet (http://www.lizardlounge.com/Natasha/Didodikali/snake/snake.html). The artist is wonderful.
