Jun. 8th, 2001 10:40 pmThings I love:
RAIN! How could I forget rain?
I looked up from writing down the songs that turned out to be on an unlabeled tape -- you know how it is, go to make a mix tape and find that the blank tape is not blank -- because I heard a great rushing noise. I looked out the window and saw a thick clump of big raindrops illuminated by the streetlight. "Oh YEAH!" I exclaimed, and rushed onto the balcony to stick my bare forearms and face out into the deluge. That wasn't enough, so I yanked off my sweater and hung as far over the railing as I could in my tank top. I think I entertained a passer-by, but the rain eased off pretty quickly, as it mostly does around here. I fondly believe that it was a flash of lightning I saw, though. It's still raining at above-average volume, but it doesn't quite measure up to that rush.
May I have some thunder, please?
