Nasty cold all weekend led to much watching of Veronica Mars (season 1, we like it) and some playing of Okami (now my favorite game ever), but little of substance done or said. Mailbox full. Working on it.

I did get some good photos of plant epidermis taken today, and I think I did pretty well on my quiz. I am drafting the distribution list for the email I've needed to send for days.

And this isn't my good news exactly, but a paper submitted by people in the lab I work in has been accepted, by Nature, for an article, which is well past excellent. PI said they were going to have a press conference with her 8-month-pregnant belly, plus Postdoc and her year-old baby. I told Wim, "[PI] Lab: We're smart, and we breed." (I have no plans to breed at this time, but the per capita rate is pretty high.)

The chances of my going to Nebraska are quite slim, don't worry. It may be politic to apply there as a bargaining chip with the U, so I can squeeze more funding out of them if I need to, but that's it.

Did you get my mail about craft day Saturday? The LJ mailserver seems to be bouncing some addresses, but yours appeared to go through.
