right hand
Oct. 2nd, 2006 06:07 pmGood news: No fracture visible on any of the several oddly positioned X-rays taken of the hand this morning. (Also: if I go back to the hospital at some point I can get hand-bone pics on CD.)
Bad news: Probably a strained ligament is what still hurts too much, and those take about eight weeks to heal. No throwing sticks for dogs any time soon.
(ETA: This is from the hand-mashing I did on 22 September, not some new thing.)

Date: 2006-10-04 05:12 am (UTC)No brace, because it's in a place that's hard to immobilize. The doctor said I could curl my hand around a pair of socks and then tape it up, but that wasn't necessary unless I had a fracture. I think unless I start sleeping on it or something it's not going to be worth the trouble.
