good news/bad news (physical)
Jan. 5th, 2006 01:20 amGood: The mole which suddenly appeared (awfully close to my left nipple, eek) is not suspicious at all, according to my doctor, and I am not in a high-risk group for melanoma as far as white people go.
Bad: However, I had a fever of 100.2, which given my slight malaise and pesky headache means I am sick.
Good: But it's not influenza, because that would have been sudden and incapacitating.
Bad: In my rush to get from school to doctor, I not only had to skip the last 10 minutes of a slightly intimidating o-chem lecture, but I also fell down due to stepping on some kind of siding fragment or something, which had a remarkably low coefficient of friction. My (right, of course, the smart side) elbow is bruised and the heel of my hand is now somewhat underfurnished with skin.
