Still working at the shoe store. People are starting to glom onto me a little: "Oh, now you have to stay here." "We always need someone." The boss didn't ask me if I thought there was enough work to come back next week, and he did buy me dim sum with the rest of the department on Thursday. I don't mind the work environment, but I think the data entry stuff is too boring to be a viable long-term gig for me. And, of course, I would throw them over for Swansons in a minute. If no plant-related job happens, though, I would probably be willing to take the copywriting job that seems to be unexpectedly vacant, at least until school starts.

I'm still removing Himalayan blackberries from the backyard. Some of them are immense underground, and they're mingled with brittle damned bindweed roots. Furthermore, there seems to be a buried rock wall (or a suspiciously linear dumping of cinder-blocks) in the area where they're growing. I think I may have to dig up the whole region and rebuild the wall after claiming the precious brushpile dirt for our yard. The Nootka rose would like to grow there, and so would Oregon-grapes.

Went to Value Village with [livejournal.com profile] dustbath, because "business casual" means jeans where I am, but fashionable jeans. Found one really good pair and one goodish cheap pair, and a few other items, including brown zip-booties that really want polishing and brown topstitched sandals. I also found the ugliest bra in the world. But it was in my size, so I had to try it. But it fit really well. So I had to buy it too. It has a nautical print. All over. The print is brighter on the cups. I need to know who to blame for this bra. Also got a black bra which is quite attractive and fits nearly as well, though it claims to be an alarming cup size. It was an excellent evening at the thrift store.

I have started sweet peas inside in peat pots. If I'm lucky, it'll be warm-enough-but-not-too-warm for long enough that they'll bloom this year. Garden hyacinths are all blooming happily, and some came inside to smell up the table today. Also blooming: forsythia, cherries, daffodils, early tulips, violas, violets, primroses, alyssum, candytuft, that other purple thing that people grow on their rock walls (yes I am ashamed), magnolias that aren't by heat vents, evergreen clematis.

Ridiculously tired today. Don't know why. Maybe I should do something sensible, like going to bed.

I saw it as more of a heraldic print (weren't there lions involved?).

The jeans I got worked out nicely, and do I know that shirt brings out the color in my eyes?

*innocent look*

if it was a heraldic print, and if it was satiny, then it's likely that lanebryant is to be blamed.

Except that they don't carry bras in my size. I think I've seen a 38 there once or twice, and I can wear those, but it's just not worth looking for a 36, which the scary bra definitely is.

Also the cups are alarmingly diffuse lace, just still with the same print. Eek.
